Although most dates are also holidays throughout the country, these holidays are the perfect time to visit Granada and experience that day in a different way. Of course, don't forget to visit us on Good Thursday and Good Friday. Our Holy Week reaches its climax on those two days. On Maundy Thursday, the epicentre of life in all of Granada moves to the Albacín where people get lost in its narrow streets waiting for the passage of the brotherhoods. On Good Friday, Granada dresses in mourning at the ninth hour in the Campo del Príncipe and turns out in the streets to attend in silence to the passage of the processions.

But it is our local fiestas that set us apart from other destinations:

Although officially the above dates are public holidays, in Granada there are dates that are also popular and you should not miss them.

1st February: San Cecilio (patron saint of Granada). The pilgrimage is moved to the first Sunday after the 1st of February.

03 May: The Day of the Cross 

15 September: Floral offering Virgen de las Angustias Last Sunday of September: Procession of the Virgen de las Angustias (patron saint of Granada)
