How to save in Fuerteventura

Here are some recommendations to save on your trip to Fuerteventura and fully enjoy your days on the island. 

First of all, how can we save on flight tickets? The most common and quickest connections to get to Fuerteventura are summarized in How to get there, but the first thing you have to take into account when planning your trip is to book your flight in advance. It is true that although Fuerteventura has no "low season", there are months when the number of visitors and hotel occupation is lower, but good weather and good temperatures are constant throughout the year, so it can be a great opportunity to reduce your flight ticket costs significantly.  Alternatively, you can save by going to the airports near to Fuerteventuras, such as those on the islands of Gran Canaria and Lanzarote. The ferry to and from Fuerteventura is quite cheap so it can also be a good saving option.

Other conflicting issues when planning a trip is where to stay for a cheap price. In this case it is highly recommended to do it out of the most crowded tourist areas of the island like Corralejo or Costa Calma and to choose more distant but accessible villages in the surroundings like Gran Tarajal or La Oliva. Another good option is to stay in island's capital, as it is in a perfect location to travel both north and south and also has a wide range of hotels, apartments and Airbnb with affordable prices. 

Where to eat cheaply in Fuerteventura is also a concern when visiting any destination, and it must be said that Fuerteventura is a fairly affordable place where you can eat economically almost everywhere in the island. In the more touristic areas such as Caleta de Fuste or Corralejo the price rises a bit but not too much, so they are still affordable. 

In general, Fuerteventura is a very cheap destination where you can save if your pocket doesn't allow you great luxuries.
